Chapter 1.1: Dark Rainfall
It's been a while since I've been to a funeral. The last time was when my parents died. Back then I was merely a small child, barely able to comprehend anything really. Certainly nothing as trivial as the death of loved ones. I never really made any close friends, and I have no idea if I have any family out there, but I guess in this day and age people like me are quite common.

Prologue: Another morning...
The buzz of the alarm clock shatters me into reality. Another morning I thought. I hadn't quite realized just how many times I had hit the snooze button that morning, not until I saw the time anyways. A jolt of panic tore through my spine as I realized that I had overslept for about an hour. The thought of my boss's face turning tomato red sends my body flying out of bed like I was dodging a lightning bolt. I rip open the closet door and grab a suit from a row of carbon copied suits, then carry it into the bathroom.

I decided to post the prologue of my novel just because I wanted to get some opinions (assuming that I'll get any). I may post the first chapter after but I'm worried that someone may steal my work so I'm not sure if I'll post anything after that unless I get it copyrighted.
